The Center for Democracy and Civic Life’s Change Makers Dinner brings UMBC students, faculty, staff, and alumni together for guided small-group conversations with leaders who are making a difference in their communities. On Thursday 3/30, 5:15 - 7:15 p.m. in the Apartment Community Center, meet local leaders and learn about their work, aspirations, and concerns in connection with food justice in and around the Baltimore region. You will have the opportunity to hear from these Change Makers and explore ways to get involved in addressing the topic at hand. A catered dinner will be provided.
 
Change Makers will include:
  • Lydia Sannella, Program Manager, Retriever Essentials (UMBC)
  • Chrissy Fleetwood, External Relations Coordinator, Filbert Street Garden
  • Denzell Mitchell Jr., Co-Executive Director, the Baltimore Farm Alliance
  • Erika Strauss Chavarria, Executive Director, Columbia Community Care
