Description
If you are a new student to UMBC for Spring 2021, you're probably wondering:
- What are the best ways to connect with other students?
- What campus resources to I need to know about to be successful?
- Who is here to show me the UMBC ropes?
- What events and programs are available for socializing?
Enter your Woolie group! Woolie groups are led by 1-2 Woolies, or Welcome Week Leaders. These students are involved on campus, connected to resources, and are passionate about helping new Retrievers find their home within our community. You will get an email with your group assignment and a link to meet by January 24, 2021.
Your Woolie group will be hosted on WebEx Teams. Please be sure to install the app on your devices. There will be a series of check ins with your group throughout Winter Welcome Week, and the platform will remain available to you to continue to ask questions, share information, and stay connected with your group members throughout the semester. The other students in your group are also new to UMBC, and likely in your same or a similar area of study.
