Fraternities and Sororities

Are you looking for lifelong friendship, service and leadership opportunities, and academic support from a strong network of friends at UMBC? If so, the UMBC Fraternities & Sororities would love to meet you!

Involvement Fest Fraternities & Sororities

Fraternities & Sororities are single sex secret societies that were founded on college campuses in the 19th century. Today, these organizations exist as values-based organizations for men and women to provide academic support and friendship, as well as opportunities for service and leadership development. Chapters strive to make UMBC an increasingly healthy and inclusive community.

Our community includes more than 20 chapters in four councils, including culturally focused chapters and historically black chapters. The nearly 500 members of the UMBC Greek Community provide a home away from home for each other.
